Arak Testing

Arak is a traditional Balinese alcoholic drink which is a richness of local culture and wisdom. The process of making distilled arak  from the fermented tuak with a certain alcohol content to produce good quality arak or wine requires special skills that are passed on from generation to generation . Every stage from fermentation of raw materials to processing is carried out carefully and in traditional ways to create high quality drinks. In this arak testing, participants will be able to subscribe to Balinese Arak which comes in various variants and flavors, such as Arak made from Salak” the fruit Snake skin  like” , Rontal Fruit   wine  Coconut wine  and Palm Sugar wine

Balinese Language

The lesson aims to provide practical skills so that participants can participate in everyday conversations, so that participants can absorb the warmth and beauty of the island of Bali through language. Balinese language lessons open the door to a deeper understanding of the richness of language and culture on the island of Bali or better known as the Island of the Gods. In this lesson, participants will discover the beauty of a language that has unique nuances and explore its diverse cultural roots.

Get to know Balinese sketch art better!

A sketch is a freehand drawing created quickly and is usually not intended as a finished work. A sketch can have several purposes: it can record something the artist saw, develop an idea for later use, or it can be used as a quick way to graphically demonstrate an image, idea or principle.

Balinese sketches are not just simple drawings, but are a window to see the rich culture and tropical nature of the island of Bali.  Balinese sketches often feature distinctive motifs, such as Balinese dances, temple architecture or attractive views of rice fields. Each stroke has a deep meaning and often contains stories from Balinese Hindu mythology.)

Ngulat Ketupat

Ketupat weaving is a traditional Indonesian  art that needs the skill of weaving with coconut leaves to form of certain patterns. The process needs precision and skill in creating a tight weave Especially in Bali, many types of ketupat are commonly used in making offerings, and this ketupat plays a very important role in the  offerings or ceremony. Come and enjoy the rich tradition and art of weaving ketupat.)

Megambel Lesson

Megambel Lesson (megambel practice). Megambel training is the process of learning or practicing using the traditional Balinese musical instrument known as “Gambelan”. This practice involves the  beginner to understand the technique of playing musical rhythms and developing skills in playing the instrument. This reflects dedication to Bali’s cultural heritage which is rich in traditional musical heritage.)

Mebanten Saiban

Mebanten Saiban or Ngejot is one of the Balinese daily Hindu offerings which are considered  the most simple daily offerings   that usually done by the Balinese people once they  finished  cooking in the morning  . Mesaiban or  Mejotan  also called Yadnya  Sesa, which aims to be a form of gratitude and thanksgiving for what God has given to us. It is said to be the most simple, because it only uses the ingredients that are being eaten that day, such as rice, salt and side dishes and there is no requirement to use certain side dishes.)
